This document assumes that you have wireless networking configured on your computer and
You have installed the SecureW2 software
Right Click on Wireless Network Connection.
Left Click on Properties.
Left Click on Wireless Networking Tab.
Left Click on Add in Preferred Networks.
Set Network Name SSID to eduroam.
Select WPA in Network Authentication drop down box in Wireless Network Key Area.
Select TKIP in Data Encryption drop down box in Wireless Network Key Area.
Deselect This is a computer-to computer (ad hoc) network if selected.
Left click on Authentication Tab.
Under EAP type select in drop down box SecureW2.
Deselect Authenticate as computer if selected.
Deselect Authenticate as guest if selected.
Left Click on Properties.
Left Click on New
Enter Profile ID of eduroam.
Deselect Use alternate outer identity.
Deselect Enable session resumption.
Left click on Certificates.
Deselect Verify server certificate.
Left Click on Authentication Tab.
Select Authentication Method in drop down box.
Left Click on User accounts.
Either
Left Click OK.
TIP: - remember to include you realm in the username ID this should be you institute domain. E.g. For John Smith who works at aarnet.edu.au
The Username is John.smith@aarnet.edu.au
The realm is very important without it you will not be able to login.
Left Click OK.
Left Click OK.
Left Click OK.
Close the Network Connections Box.
Now you're ready to eduroam.
Just browse for Wireless networks an connect to the eduroam Network
