Installing a Root CA Certificate

The below is an extract from an 802.1X Tutorial by Chris Hessing and Matthew Gast.

Windows XP (SP1)

1. Double click the certificate file.
2. Let windows decide where to put it.

Windows XP SP2

1. Double click the certificate file.
2. Click on <Install Certificate>.
3. Select <place all certificates in the following store>.
4. Click on the browse button, and check the box for <Show physical store>.
5. Expand the <Trusted Root Certification Authorities>.
6. Select <Local Computer> and click on the okay button.
7. Click the next button, followed by the finish button to complete the process.

MAC OSX

1. Double click the certificate file to bring up the keychain window.
2. In the keychain window, select the <System> keychain.
3. Click <OK>.
